Maggie and Bruce had the most stunning First Presbyterian Church wedding, followed by a lovely reception at the O’Donnell House in Sumter, SC.
Our entire ALP team has enjoyed getting to know these two over the last year, and celebrating with them was so much fun. If you’ve been around for a while, you’ll remember Maggie’s elegant bridal session in Monks Corner. It was such a treat getting to photograph her again, this time with the love of her life!
First Presbyterian Church Wedding
Maggie’s dream was to get married in a white church, and First Presbyterian Church became the perfect setting for this dream.
The couple started their celebrations for the day with their closest family and friends getting ready before their ceremony. We always love photographing details on the wedding day, but we especially loved all the pops of blue and the flowers we got to play with!
Maggie and Bruce opted to forego a first look and do a first touch at the church’s front steps. You could see both of them relax and filled with joy the moment this happened. It was so sweet to witness!
The Reception at O’Donnell House
During the reception, the band was so incredible, and during their break, they requested the groom and his band come up to perform one of their songs on stage! I LOVED seeing them perform one of their original songs and am so glad they got the opportunity to do this, especially for Bruce on his wedding day.
The weather was also nearly perfect all day, and during the reception, we noticed rain was on the radar. Because of this, we moved the exit under the beautiful, large porch of the O’Donnell house. The bride and groom exited with a clear umbrella, which was so pretty! These images ended up being some of my favorites from their wedding day! Plus, the red and white car was covered in raindrops, which was so dreamy for photos!
