This elegant Grandmillenial Charleston wedding was everything a photographer’s dreams are made of. Complete with one of the best couples, it might be hard to top!
Elegant Grandmillenial Charleston Wedding
Set at a renovated Naval home in North Charleston, Linsy and Cameron had the dreamiest day with all their loved ones. I absolutely love these two so much. From our first meeting and throughout the entire day, they were both so relaxed and laid back.
This wedding has not one but three of the most memorable first looks I’ve ever been a part of. It started with the bride and groom first look on the second-story balcony of the Admiral’s House with the most beautiful backdrop of the old oak trees on the property. Linsy and Cameron also decided to read their vows privately during their first look.
After their first look, we decided to do bride and groom portraits. On our walk back to the house, Linsy suggested we do a first look as a couple for the wedding party since they hadn’t yet seen her. They walked down the massive staircase to the lower level to greet the bridesmaids. It was such a fun spin on the traditional first looks with bridesmaids!
Next, Linsy suggested we do the same with the groomsmen, and I’m so glad she did. This group of groomsmen made this moment SO incredibly memorable – the second we told them to open their eyes, they cheered as loudly as they could.
The Reception
The reception decor perfectly tied in with the home’s existing decor, and Parte Events and Designs did the most fantastic job bringing it all together.
Guests were greeted with champagne and a fan to enjoy during the ceremony. Afterward, they enjoyed fabulous hors d’oeuvres by Hamby Catering, but the entertainment didn’t stop there.
Each guest got the opportunity to try Life Raft Treats, and Linsy encouraged my second photographer, Julia, and me to try some. Life Raft makes treats that look like other types of food. They had a chicken drumstick that was actually an ice cream bar! It’s hands down the best dessert I’ve had at a wedding.
I hope you love this fun-filled wedding as much as I did. Fingers crossed Life Raft Treats makes an appearance at another wedding soon!
