I’ve known Tanner for years, so being part of his and Julia’s timeless Aiken wedding at The Reserve Club was extra special. Tanner has been in so many of my past weddings (so many I jokingly dubbed him “27 Tuxes” after the classic 27 Dresses). This is such a testament to who he is as a person, having so many dear friends who want him by their side on their big days.
Once I met Julia during their engagement session, I fell in love with her instantly, too! She was kind with a great sense of humor, and I could tell they both cared so much about each other and were a perfect match, so when they asked me to photograph their wedding, I was beyond thrilled.
A Timeless County Club Wedding
It’s no secret I love a classic country club wedding, and they said “I do” at one of my favorite Aiken venues. Julia incorporated many stylish and sophisticated details!
They chose navy and white as their primary colors for the day, and I loved that Julia chose an all-white bouquet. Selecting a monochromatic bouquet can be the most fantastic way to show off the textures in the florals, too.
I loved the navy bridesmaids’ dresses with the backdrop of the golf course at The Reserve and their cocktail hour on the lawn outside of the reception hall was so stunning! The sunshine really showed off for us during their couple portriats.
Their getting-ready rooms were also such a fun pop of color. It can be tempting to lean toward mostly neutrals when choosing your getting-ready space, but these spaces were so stunning. I love how they wove so much of who they are into their day.
