This dreamy Carolina Yacht Club wedding was an absolute dream. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better day for Mary Catherine and Laurence, and I’m so excited to share their big day with you all!
Dreamy Carolina Yacht Club Wedding
I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: Charleston is one of the dreamiest places to be a photographer. Every season has something new and exciting to offer, and there’s a beautiful portrait location around almost every corner.
This wedding day had both! We started our day at a unique overnight rental for the bridesmaids to get ready. It’s just above Hank’s seafood and had the most gorgeous light for getting ready photos! Of course, my team and I started by photographing all of Mary Catherine’s little details. She wore the most gorgeous pair of pearl earrings and chose one of my favorite shoe designers for the occasion!
Portraits on Chalmers Street
After a few getting-ready moments, we started the fun with a first look for Mary Catherine and her dad. We followed with the big reveal for the bride and groom. Mary Catherine and Laurence chose to see each other before their ceremony. Afterward, we made our way to Chalmers Street for portraits before their ceremony at French Huguenot Church.
Chalmers is one of my favorite streets in Charleston because of the greenery just outside of Washington Square Park and the pretty cobblestone street. It’s the perfect portrait location for a large wedding party!
After their vows and a few more portraits, we made our way over to the Carolina Yacht Club for their reception.
MC and Anna Kate with Parte Events + Design knocked it out of the park with the reception space design. They wanted lots of soft seating for guests to enjoy when taking a break from the dance floor and amazing floral touches scattered throughout. The entire day was full of so much beauty.
