This week, we are highlighting Callie Grace and David’s downtown Columbia engagement session. It was such a fun session. When another photographer asks you to document their engagement session, it’s always an honor.
I love it when clients understand posing and lighting and just get it! Of course, we will always gladly help with posing and directing. There’s just something about working with other photographers that feels so effortless.
I had the best time getting to know these two. They’re truly amazing people, and I can’t wait to share more of these two soon. They recently tied the knot at another of our favorite venues.

We love traditional engagement sessions, but there’s something extra fun about doing something a little different. There are so many ways to infuse your personalities and more of your story into your engagement photos and wedding imagery.
We are always up for flower-filled gardens and downtown Charleston vibe portraits, but adding an extra bit of creativity (like these two) is always welcome, too!
Callie Grace and David wanted their engagement session to have an editorial feel, so we kicked things off at The Graduate. They brought the most adorable and delicious cake to enjoy with cocktails. I loved how fun and playful this part of their session felt. The bright pops of color were so perfect. The range of imagery from this location was also a major win!
Who Says You Can’t Do Both?
Next, we made our way over to the State House after a quick wardrobe change for more traditional portraits. Who says you can’t do both? I loved the accessories Callie Grace added, and they both looked so polished and chic.
