A Charleston engagement session on the Battery will forever be one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon. The scenery in Charleston never disappoints, and I love walking with my couples through all my favorite hidden gems in one of my favorite historic cities.

Charleston Engagement Session on The Battery

We started this beautiful session at Waterfront Park near the Battery in the heart of Historic Charleston. These giant oak trees are truly spectacular when the lighting is just right. Maggie and Bruce were so fun to photograph too. I truly have some of the best couples, and these two were such a dream!

East Battery and Church

After spending a bit of time under the oaks and a quick wardrobe change, we made our way down Church for some of my favorite spots. The entire street is cobblestone and one-way, making it a photographer’s dream when it comes to traffic. Plus, the backdrops along the way are unparalleled. One of my favorites is an all-white wall, with is the perfect neutral spot for some playful portraits!

The lighting for our entire session was so stunning, so we made the most of everything this street had to offer. I love how it peeks through the buildings on sunny days at just the right moments. We made sure to stop at all of my favorite little nooks!

Maggie made one last wardrobe change into the cutest pink, playful dress. I loved all the pastel colors, and she chose all the best shoes to pair each dress with! It was the perfect nod to the beautiful Spring day! I can’t wait to celebrate these two in a few short months for their big day! They have been the most fun to work with, and I can’t believe just how amazing it feels to have clients like them!
