I loved this simple, southern country club wedding this summer. It was a stunning mix of classic details and so much joy.
Simple + Southern Country Club Wedding
The Reserve has quickly become one of my favorite venues. I fell hard for the stylish details and the manicured green space for receptions on my very first visit. Plus, the food is incredible every time! Their entire setup is perfect. From the bridal suite to the amazing wallpaper in the entry hall, I can’t get over it. Sprague Events handled the planning and did a beautiful job of bringing everything together.
Aiken, South Carolina, was the most beautiful backdrop for Kate and Clint’s big day. There were many unique personal touches, like a 1920s getaway car, classic screen-printed invitation suite, and beautiful floral centerpieces. Kate even used a traveling garter monogrammed with the names of her college best friends who had worn it. She will now get to add her name and lovingly pass it on to the next bride.
The rest of Kate’s details were just as thoughtful and lovely. Her cathedral-length veil was stunning in the church where they said their vows and during their portraits. She even wore a beautiful sapphire ring for the day as her something blue. Her bouquet of lush peonies was so beautiful and smelled heavenly. I love a colorful, whimsical bouquet, but this was a perfect choice for their day.
Sunset Portraits
Some of my favorite moments of the day were Kate and Clint’s sunset portraits. For these, we made our way to the golf course, which was the ideal spot to give the sun a moment to show off. The colors just before sunset are always so beautiful and creamy, so I always try to get couples outside for portraits when we can. This evening didn’t disappoint!
