Rachel and Collins’ Lowcountry engagement session was dreamy from start to finish. I had the best time getting to know these two. They were the most gracious hosts during our session and made me feel so welcome. I hope you love this snippet from their session as much as we did.
Rachel and Collins’ Lowcountry Engagement Session
These two opted for a coastal-inspired beach session in one of their favorite spots. They could not have picked a more romantic location.
I was thrilled they asked me to travel down to Collins’ river house in McClellanville for the occasion. The home was right on the river at the end of a pretty dirt road cul-de-sac with lots of trees and scenery to choose from for portraits!
We started their session with more traditional posed portraits. Rachel chose the most beautiful dress in the perfect shade of blue. I couldn’t get over how stunning it was for the location!
Collins looked dapper in his cream and navy combo paired with a button-down. These two knew the assignment and picked the perfect, classic pieces for their wardrobe for both looks.
Adding A Lifestyle Element To Your Engagement Session
After a quick wardrobe change, we made our way to the dock for sunset photos with a twist.
Rachel and Collins wanted their engagement session to have a more editorial feel, so we added meaningful lifestyle elements throughout. I love when clients opt to add a bit more of their hobbies and shared interests into their sessions and how it adds an extra element of storytelling.
For the second half of our session, we made ourselves right at home at one of their favorite spots on the property. They brought one of their favorite celebratory beverages, rosé with a jalepeño, and snuggled up to watch the sunset.
