There are so many amazing wedding venues in Charleston, but Tori and Sam’s Legare Waring House wedding might be one of our favorites. This winter day was unseasonably warm and filled with so many incredible details. They even had donkeys that carried beverages to guests during their cocktail hour. Trust me, you don’t want to miss seeing their sweet faces! It was by far the cutest add-on we’ve ever seen!

These two are from the mid-west, so this wedding was a destination for this crew. We love it when couples love this little slice of the state as much as we do. Parte Events and Design helped them bring their wedding day vision to life from afar and made sure everything went swimmingly on the day of!
They envisioned a day with mild weather in the Lowcountry, but we were all surprised when it turned out to be one of the most unseasonally hot days of the year. Even though things got a little toasty from time to time, you wouldn’t know it. Everyone had the best time, and the warmer temps wouldn’t affect their good time!
Winter Wedding Timelines | Considering A First Look
As seasoned wedding pros, hiring us comes with all the knowledge we’ve acquired throughout our careers. One thing we know for sure is that winter weddings require a bit of adjusting on the timeline side of things. Winter weddings are the perfect situation to consider a first look.
Disclaimer – We will always support you in your decisions throughout the planning process, but there are a few things to keep in mind once those shorter days are upon us. If you’re not keen on a first look, consider an earlier start time for your wedding vs the more traditional evening wedding.
Tori and Sam built a first look during their wedding day to ensure plenty of time for portraits before their ceremony. If you want that 6 pm ceremony, we will be there celebrating alongside you. But if you also want light-filled portraits, the first look is how you make it happen!
