I loved this session from start to finish!! Dannelly and Nick’s downtown Charleston engagement session could not have been more fun – or beautiful, for that matter. We had the best time getting to know each other and even stopped at a local dive for drinks to end the session.

Dannelly and Nick’s Downtown Charleston Engagement Session

Dannelly and Nick were such a joy to be around! They decided to go downtown to start their session, which is always ok for the ALP team.

Charleston is one of our favorite portrait locations, and you can’t go wrong, as it has everything you could ever need! There’s so much charm and beauty around every corner. It’s a photographer’s dream.

If you can believe it, we also had most of Charleston to ourselves for most of the session, a rarity in almost every season. We are always happy to share the best spots, but we’ve got no complaints about moving around freely and even using the streets when possible.

Adding A Little Twist | Planning Your Engagement Session in Downtown Charleston

While we knew we wanted traditional portraits for this session, Dannelly and Nick wanted to be sure to add a twist (or olives, in this case) to their session. They decided to stop at The Blind Tiger Pub for the last half of the session for drinks. Like the rest of our session, The Blind Tiger was also pretty quiet, which made for a lot of space for pictures.
