This playful family beach session on Isle of Palms was exactly what my photographer heart needed on this balmy evening last fall. We truly adore sessions on the beach, and this one was such a delight. Is there anything better than being barefoot on the beach with those you love most? We don’t think so!
Playful Family Beach Session on Isle of Palms
I don’t take many family sessions during the year because of our ALP wedding schedule, but the Hughey family are longtime friends, so we made an exception to help them share this special new season.
This session was so fun to photograph. Not only is this family adorable, but they’re also some of our dearest friends. They were up for an adventure, being creative and chasing the good light during their beach session!
At the time of this session last fall, they were expecting a new little one, and it meant the world helping them celebrate this new season. They wanted to celebrate the occasion with a part family session and part pregnancy announcement to share with their loved ones, and we love how their portraits turned out.
All About The Details
I loved so many parts of this beach family session. The sunshine was beautiful, and we had the best time playing in the sand. Big sister-to-be really enjoyed being near the water, and I can’t get over her tiny hand dimples dusted with sand. She’s already the best big sister to her new baby.
The colors at sunset were stunning and Mom and Dad did a wonderful job choosing wardrobe for this session. I loved how their white and light blue outfits contrasted with the beach and sunset. The light and colors couldn’t have been more beautiful, and it was such a dreamy evening!
We love this crew so much and I was thrilled to capture this exciting time in their lives!
