Another dreamy wedding this week for the ALP team! Emma and Richard’s Pawley’s Island wedding was a dream from start to finish, and we loved spending the day with these two and all of their favorite people! Pawley’s Island has always been a favorite for us, and this day was everything we could have hoped for and more for Emma and Richard.
Emma and Richard’s Pawley’s Island Wedding | Caledonia Golf and Fish Club
Wedding days at Caledonia are always some of the most scenic for portraits. I love it when we can plan to stop by the venue before the ceremony because the sun always shines so beautifully behind the oak trees on the oak-lined drive. There was Spanish moss for days, which made the afternoon sunlight glow like nowhere else. The Lowcountry views really are something to behold!
There is also lots of room to spread out, which was great for Emma and Richard’s large wedding party. It was so having room for everyone in such a beautiful space. Plus, wide shots under the oak trees are always epic for the album spread later!
The First Look at Belin UMC
Emma and Richard opted to do their first look at the ceremony location, and it was so sweet and intimate. We loved Belin UMC and how special that felt for them. Some couples opt to have other people present for the first look, but our favorite is when it’s just the two of them.
A first look is the perfect way to share a sweet word before the ceremony and a great way to calm the jitters and pressure. Couples find so much peace before all the excitement by just taking a deep breath and being together.
After the ceremony, we made our way to the water for portraits (which is always a preference of mine when it’s an option), followed by the most fun reception.
