This was the dreamiest coastal Pawley’s Island engagement session with Emma and Richard! They live near Litchfield by the Sea and wanted to include this gorgeous scenery in their engagement session! They are nestled right in the heart of downtown Georgetown and in the most excellent location to start their lives together come December.
A Coastal Pawley’s Island Engagement Session
The three of us (plus their two super cute pups) had the best time celebrating their upcoming nuptials. I love it when clients include their fur babies, and these two were so well-behaved!
We started at one of Emma and Richard’s favorite spots: their front porch! Their swing was an excellent spot for them to snuggle up and get used to being in front of the camera before we made our way through their gorgeous neighborhood. The roads under all the Spanish moss provided the perfect backdrop for their cozy, coastal engagement session.
For the second half of their session, we followed up with photos at Caledonia (their wedding venue) and headed to Litchfield by the Sea for sunset photos! It was the dreamiest day, and it was so lovely officially meeting these two before their December wedding!
Should I Schedule Engagement Photos?
A question I receive from time from couples is whether or not they should opt for engagement photos. Some couples don’t love being the center of attention and are a bit nervous about being in front of a camera.
That’s precisely one of my suggestions for why they’re a great idea.
Engagement sessions allow you time in front of the camera before the big day to get warmed up. It also gives both you and your photographer an idea of how the two of you are together. It also allows your photographer the chance to get to know your comfort level for PDA and gives you a test run for what to expect on your wedding day!
Plus, they’re also just a fun way to celebrate this new season you’re experiencing together. The photos just so happen to be the most fantastic keepsake to document the occasion!
