My first blog of 2018 – woo hoo! Yes, you read that right. Somehow the middle of the year just happened. I still feel like it is New Year’s Day but I could think of no better way to kick off my first blog of 2018 than to share an engagement session for a dear friend (and now two dear friends).

Shelby was my roommate for several years during and after college. She is practically like a sister to me so whenever she told me about meeting Walt, I was ecstatic for her. I was even more ecstatic to hear about how well Walt treated her. With family and friends, there’s nothing better than knowing that they have found someone they truly love that appreciates all of the same things that you appreciate in that person as a friend. Walt is incredibly hard-working and kind. He is also witty and can keep up with Shelby’s wittiness.. which is a win in my book 🙂

For their session, we chose to take these at the State House at sunrise (hashtag golden hour). I’m talking like 7 AM, meaning that these two had to wake up at the crack of dawn to get ready and meet me at the State House. Despite their early wake-up call, these two were so incredibly happy throughout the entire session. It’s so easy to see just how much they mean to each other and I can’t wait for their big day right around the corner! Congrats to Shelby & Walt! #HisandHurleys
